Internet-betting Site Skycasino Plans European Expansion

Not having to leave your couch or desk to bet money on sports has been a reality for a while. You can bet on virtually anything: the final scores in traditional sports like football and hockey, but also more exotic events likeskybet dog racing or how many corner kicks ManCity will have in their next game. Now, Skycasino, a website which allows you to bet money on live Roulette, Blackjack or Slots and promises to bring the true casino feeling to your home, is looking to expand its reach beyond the British market.

The expansion plans are made possible by the growth in revenue that the company has reported in the past year. Skycasino and its affiliates Sky Poker and Sky Bingo have experienced an increase in revenue by 36 percent compared to their 2015 numbers, which brings this gambling division to nearly £160 million in annual revenue. These numbers are strongly related to the growth in customers. According to SkyBet – the company that Skycasino belongs to – the three gambling services have had almost two million customers in the past 12 months.

Putting money on Italy and Germany

With the success in the UK and its traditionally gambling-happy population, Skycasino is considering putting its chips on Italy and Germany to reap further profits in the future. According to reports in the Financial Times, testing phases with smaller groups of customers have already been set up in these two targeted markets. So far the launch of the site outside of Britain is planned for sometime next year.

It’s not hard to see why the site has been so successful, currently Skycasino is offering special deals to potential new players: you put down £10 of your money but you can play with £70. Even for established customers, deals from 20 to 40 percent extra betting money are being offered. All you need to play is a credit or debit card, or a PayPal account.
